BREAD AI

Simple. Powerful. Open Intelligence.

An AI chat that runs on independent GPUs around the world. Ask anything for free. People who share their GPU earn BREAD for every answer they serve.

Why BREAD exists

The GPUs to run AI already exist. They are sitting in people's PCs.

Most AI today runs in a handful of hyperscale data centres: new buildings, new power lines, new hardware, all so a request can be answered somewhere far away. Meanwhile millions of capable graphics cards sit idle at home most of the day.

BREAD AI makes better use of computing hardware that already exists. Every request is routed to an independent GPU that would otherwise be idle, the owner is paid in BREAD for the work, and no new hyperscale infrastructure has to be built for the workload to run. Not every AI job needs a data centre. Most of them just need a spare GPU and a fair way to pay for it.

Use what exists
Idle consumer and workstation GPUs serve real requests instead of sitting at 0%.
Pay the owner
80% of every job goes to the person whose hardware did the work.
No new buildings
Capacity grows one installed node at a time, with no land, power plant or cooling tower behind it.
Open by design
Anyone can host a node, anyone can chat. Pricing and rewards are public.

How it works

01
You ask

Type a prompt in BREAD AI. It becomes a job with a measured cost in BREAD, based on tokens.

02
A node bakes it

BREAD Console routes the job to an online GPU node. The model runs locally on that GPU and streams the answer back.

03
BREAD moves

Usage is settled on Solana Devnet: the node earns its share, the platform keeps its fee, every transaction is public.

One token, two sides

BREAD is what users spend for compute and what providers earn for supplying it. The price is set in cents and never surges: an answer costs the same whether the network is empty or slammed. What changes is the reward: when GPUs are scarce, hosts are paid extra.

  • A$0.001 per 1,000 tokens (input + output), counted by the platform, never by the node. Billed in BREAD at the rate when you ask.
  • 80% to the GPU provider, 20% to the platform. Cards with 16 GB or more keep 85%. Failed jobs cost nothing.
  • Rewards rise when the network is busy, up to 10x the standard reward, and at least 7x while fewer than 20 nodes are online. Right now hosts are paid 7x. The boost comes from the platform share and the treasury, never from the user.
  • Bread Vision: A$0.0005 per 1,000 tokens + A$0.002 per image. Image understanding costs more GPU time, so it pays nodes more.
  • 50 free prompts a day, sponsored by the treasury so nodes still get paid. Then sign up, link Phantom, claim 100 BREAD.

Turn a gaming PC into a bakery

BREAD Node is a small desktop app. It detects your GPU, downloads the model once, connects outbound to the network and starts earning. No port forwarding, no accounts, no separate AI software to install.

  • Windows x64 today
NVIDIA (CUDA) or AMD (ROCm / Vulkan) GPU with 8 GB VRAM or more. Linux and macOS builds follow.
  • Nothing to trust us with
Your node key never leaves your machine. Rewards go to any Solana address you choose.
  • Runs in the tray
Minimize it and keep gaming. Jobs are only routed when you are online and idle.
  • Paid per job
See every job, its tokens and your BREAD reward inside the app.

Version 0.1.0 (Devnet preview). Installer about 45 MB with the inference runtime included; the GPU backend for your card (up to 900 MB) and the model download on first run.
